⚠️ EDP Beginner Certification Information ⚠️

We are so excited to see you for your Ecole de Pole Cleveland Beginner/Elementary Instructor Certification! The weekend is fast-approaching, and we want to give you a head start on everything we will be covering during the training. This will ensure that you are completely prepared for the content and the course!


A few things for you to do before we meet, including the pre-reading outlined below.


Please find your Administrative Handbook, EDP Beginner Instructor Training Manual, and Google Classroom Invite PDF here. Save or download your Manual and Handbook to your laptop or tablet to bring with you. Don't forget your chargers!


PRE-READING REQUIREMENT (approx 35 mins): Please read before arriving at the studio (no need to read the whole manual beforehand as we will study the rest together during the course, but please read these topics as some will not be covered in the face to face portion of the course):

  • Admin Handbook: Please read all pages

  • Beginner Manual:  Page 22 (Class Etiquette), Page 24 (Music in Group Classes), Page 40-49 (Health & Safety), Page 56 (Communicating with Students), Pages 58-61 (Postural Cues & Grips).

If you want to print your manuals, you can, however you may also simply bring the digital copy with you. The only pages you MUST print are listed below:


TO PRINT:

  • Admin Handbook (Page 7 & 8 - Assessment Record)

  • Beginner Manual (Pages 10, 13, 14, + 20 Worksheets).

Feel free to print double sided to save on paper. If you would rather just write the answers in a notepad instead of printing the worksheets (or if you don’t have access to a printer), that's fine too. Or you can fill the answers in on your laptop on the PDF and email them to us.


We just want to stress that the manual is copyrighted and should not be shared with, shown to or reproduced for anyone, in any shape or form. It’s just for you as you’ve paid for the course!


⚠️TO DO BEFORE Friday 01/16/26⚠️:

  • Please complete this Enrollment Form ASAP

  • Please create an Google Classroom student account following the instructions on the Google Classroom handout from the link above. Click JOIN CLASS from your account and enter the code on the handout. Your online theory exam will be completed through this platform over the certification weekend. Please make sure you have created your account and joined the group before the course starts so that there are no issues with you accessing your exam on the day. If you have any issues joining the group, just shoot us an email and we will get back to you ASAP.

  • Complete the pre-reading listed above

  • Print/download the pages listed above

PLEASE BRING:

  • Laptop / iPad or Tablet with the manual downloaded and readable. You will also need to have access to the internet at home to access your exam (it will take up about 45 mins of your time on the Sat night or Sun morning before you come in for Day 2).

  • Printed worksheet pages, as listed above.

  • Printed blank Assessment Record, from the Admin Handbook, as listed above.

  • Power cord or charger for your tablet or laptop device.

  • Notebook and something to write with, so that you may take notes during the course.

  • Warm and comfortable clothes (sweatpants, leggings or hoodies, socks, leg warmers, back warmers). Obviously, these aren’t required, but we want to stay warm even when we are sitting and discussing, and we want you to be comfortable during the lecture periods!

  • Pole Clothes (shorts and tops)

  • Yoga Mat

  • Grip aids

  • Water bottle

  • Light snacks, or a packed lunch for each day if you wish.

* Start at 12 PM. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get settled.

* We will aim to finish at 5 PM each evening.
