  • Owner

Meg discovered pole in July of 2015, after many years of trying different sports and fitness regimes with no lasting interest. It took almost no time for the hobby to become a passion; she immediately bought her home pole and began learning tricks through Instagram and YouTube. Training upwards of 30+ hours a week, she began teaching group classes and privates after six months. In 2017, she had the opportunity to open Ecole de Pole Cleveland, the first Ecole de Pole to open in the United States with her partner, Rachel. She has enjoyed teaching classes almost every day of the week since the studio opened. Meg is a competitive athlete and placed 1st in the Amateur Division of PCS 2019 in Columbus, Ohio, and 2nd in Championship Level 5 at PSO Great Lakes 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. In 2021, she competed once more at PSO Great Lakes 2021 and placed 2nd in Championship Level 5, and then PSO Sagittarius 2021 and placed gold, ensuring her entry into 2022 Nationals.

In her spare time, Meg likes to veg out and play video games, read, and sleep.

CLASSES WE TEACH

Yoga & Specialty Classes

From stretching to arial yoga and everything in between

  • Suitable for all levels working to improve their flexibility, strength, and mobility. No matter where you are in your flexibility training, Active Flexibility will focus on your trouble spots to safely deepen your stretches and transform the way your body can bend actively and with proper intention. This class is highly focused on building muscle control to safely bring yourself in and out of deep stretches. These muscles will be worked actively throughout the whole class, as opposed to only passive stretching, which has the potential to cause injury. This class is an all levels class, which means beginner friendly. Advanced students will benefit from targeted activity designed to improve your end range strength for your oversplits and backbends.

  • This class in a non-pole class constructed to condition floor inverts for students of all levels. Students will be taken through a structured warm-up, focusing on wrists, shoulders, compression and active flexibility. Your instructor will coach you through a variety of floor inversions, from plow to crow to shoulderstand, headstands and handstands galore. No inversion experience required. Props will be provided, but you may bring yoga blocks if you wish.

  • Suitable for all levels working to improve their flexibility and mobility. Stretch is a basic flexibility class, with progressions and regressions for different student levels. The class will cover both passive and active flexibility. There is no pole in Stretch, so the class is open to nonpolers. But, if you are a poler, Stretch is a great way to give yourself consistent flexibility training to increase the range of motion when on the pole.

  • Buti is a dynamic asana practice fused with primal movement, tribal dance, and deep core engagement. Fused with classic vinyasa and traditional yoga, not only is it an intense full-body workout, Buti has changed so many lives through connectivity with the self and your surrounding tribe. Suitable for beginner and up! Learn more at www.butiyoga.com

  • Come fly with us during this hour-long aerial yoga class on our quality hammocks! The hammock acts like a swing or soft trapeze, supporting the hips for forward bends and back bends. Yoga postures which some find difficult to do on the ground are more accessible in the air. The benefits of aerial yoga are numerous, including increasing blood circulation, lengthening the spine, and decompressing the lower back. This is an all levels, beginner friendly class.

  • Open Aerial is an open practice time for those who have had exposure to aerial hammocks. Brand new beginners are NOT allowed. Must have minimum five aerial yoga classes at EDP CLE to be eligible to play. Play at your own risk.

Please note: For safety reasons EDP does not allow Open Aerial participants to instruct or teach each other during these sessions. This policy includes outside instructors that are participating. If EDP Staff recognizes this is happening, the participants that violated this policy will be asked to leave and no refund will be granted.
